Around a 3 hours flight from London, Lisbon is a capital which benefits from a mild climate all year round. Recommended beach: Carcavelos beach, about fifteen minutes by train from Lisbon, is one of the most popular. Recommended beach: Sitges, a 30-minute train ride from Barcelona, is a seaside resort definitely worth a visit. Sitges is a gem, a small town with a total of seventeen beaches, some beautiful. Certainly in Barcelona there are also beaches, but they do not look good compared to the beaches of Sitges. For a stroll in Barcelona city you can go to the beaches of La Barceloneta or Marbella.
4. Málaga, Spain
Located on the Costa del Sol, Malaga benefits from a very mild climate during winter, with temperatures around 17°C on average. The city can be reached by plane in around 3 hours at attractive prices. Malaga offers sunny beaches perfect for relaxing in winter. We fell in love with this smiling city, with its first-rate museums (Pompidou, Picasso, Thyssen), its major film festival and its French Cinema Festival. Malaga, with its legendary gentle way of life, offers an incredible mix of sun, party and cultural life.
Recommended beach: Malagueta beach, near the city center, is one of the most popular. It is ideal for a moment of relaxation in the sun.
5. Canary Islands, Spain
The Canary Islands, located around 5 hours by flight from London, are a winter destination par excellence. The climate is subtropical, and temperatures are around 20°C even in January. Each island offers different landscapes, beaches and towns. Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura or Lanzarote, each of these islands offers magnificent beaches and unspoiled nature.
